All down through the ages God has had someone to record "His-story" as it unfolded. God used the prophets, the Apostles, Irenius, Justin, Martin Luther, John Wesley and many others. The Scriptures record God's instructions to the prophets to write down their visions and the things He had revealed to them. See: Habakkuk 2:2; Revelations 1:19. Even to the twentieth century God has had someone on the scene to record His works among men.
A true historian of course records the events of history without bias. A perfect example of this is David Edwin Harrell's history of 'The Healing and Charismatic revivals In Modern America'. His work was published by the Indiana University Press under the title, "All Things Are Possible." It was Harrell who stated...
"Most of the participants of the 'healing revival' which erupted in 1947, looked upon William Branham as its initiator. Out of his massive union meetings in 1947 spread reports of hundreds of miracles and marvels. Branham seemed an unlikely leader. He had been a pastor in a small independant Baptist church; his preaching was halting and simple beyond belief. But William Branham became a prophet to a generation. A small, meek, middle-aged man with piercing eyes, he held audiences spellbound with tales of constant communication with God and Angels. Night after night, before thousands of awed believers, he discerned the diseases of the sick and pronounced them healed."
We are awaiting permission from the Indiana University Press to use a selection of quotes from Professor Harrell's book. As soon as permission is received we will update this page. The producers of this Web Site highly recommend Professor's Harrell's book, "All Things Are Possible" to anyone interested in obtaining, an 'unbiased' report of the 'healing and charismatic revivials' of modern America. He has demonstrated the utmost respect for the participants in that revival. Check with your local Religious bookstore for a copy.
Gordon Lindsay was prominent in the 'healing revival' which sweep America during the late 1940's and into the '50's and '60's, He was a participant and moved mainly in Pentecostal circles but kept record of the movements and meetings of many Evangelists, including William Branham. In fact in the early 1950's he began publishing a monthly magazine entitled "The Voice Of Healing" to report on the Branham campaigns. Later it's scope was broadened to include reports from other ministeries. That magazine, now called "Christ For The Nations" is still active.
Unlike Professor Harrell who wrote only 'one' book covering the Healing AND Charismatic Revivals, Brother Lindsay, has written many books covering only the 'Healing Revival', which, from America went around the world. He wrote biographies of some of the leading preachers who came to be identified with the Healing Revival. His story of William Branham is included in this Web Site.
It was Gordon Lindsay who stated that, "The story of the life of William Branham is so out of the ordinary that were there not available a host of infallible proofs which document and attest its authenticity, one might be well excused from considering it far-fetched and incredible. But the facts are so generally known, and of such a nature that they can be so easily verified by ant sincere investigator, that they must stand as God's witness to His willingness and purpose to reveal Himself again to men as He once did in the days of the prophets and the apostles. The story of this prophet's life - for he is a prophet - indeed witnesses to the fact that Bible days are here again."
Histroy itself bears witness to the fact that "There has been a Prophet among us and God, through that Prophet, has left an Endtime Bride a Message which will set Her in order for the Rapture. Amen!
