"And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:  Genesis 1:14

In this instance the "sign in the moon" was a Divine confirmation of something which was transpiring in the earth - Scripture prophecy was being fulfilled and the Revelation (understanding) of the prophecy was being revealed to the predestinated sons and daughters of God. The Bible prophesied of this hour, saying, "...but it shall come to pass that, at evening time, it shall be light" (Zechariah 14:7). It's a paradox that the prophesied "Evening Light" Message, through the prophet would reveal the prophesied "darkness over the earth and the GROSS darkness over the people" (Isaiah 60:2). The Messages on the Revelation of the Seven Church Ages shows the ever increasing darkness which crept over the church world through Seven Ages until in the end it goes into a "total blackout" of the Word with Christ outside the door of the Church (Revelation 3:14-22).

For generations the true children of God were constantly being trapped in the quagmire of denominational Egyptian bondage. The Lord kept sending Messengers to bring them out but the influence of man-made theology kept dragging them back in. But in these last days the Lord sent His servant the prophet, with the Pillar of Fire leadership, to bring a final Exodus - bringing His children out of denominational, inter-denominational and non-denominational bondage and get them ready for the Rapture.

To do this the Lord sent His servant around the world with a Message of Divine Healing, PLUS an "open vision" ministry, manifesting "two Signs", to get the attention of His children - NOT ALL professing Christians - just HIS OWN children whom He foreknew before the foundation of the world (1st. Peter 1:2; 2nd Tim 2:19; Romans 8:28-30). The Message to the True Sons and Daughters of God is to "Come out of her my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins....."(Revelation 18:4). Get away from "organized" religion and believe ALL the Word.

God's Seventh Church Age Messenger Prophet stood on the earth, revealed the Mystery of the Seven Church Ages, showing how the Holy Spirit of Christ and the unholy spirit of the anti-christ have battled down through seven Ages. To help visualize the scenerio of the Ages the prophet drew a diagram on the board (See Image at left). In the circles the "light" portions represent the Presence of the Holy Spirit and the "Light" of the Word revealed by the Holy Spirit in each Age. The "dark" portions represent the anti-christ spirit and the influence of man-made religion, by-passing the Holy Spirit and using a man-made priesthood to interpret the Word to the people.

At the conclusion of his series of sermons on the Ages, Brother Branham showed (by the drawing he use), that the church world goes into "total spiritual darkness". Then the Pillar of Fire came into the Tabernacle, moved over to the side wall and in the presence of MANY witnesses supernaturally drew out (on the wall) the same drawing which the prophet had on the blackboard.

Our Gracious Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, was confirming the Scriptural Truth of what His servant preached. A further confirmation and proof was in the lunar eclipse that followed. It was in six stages, with the seventh being a "total eclipse", signifying the "total spiritual eclipse" of the church world in this Seventh and last Church Age.

In the book on "The Exposition Of The Seven Church Ages", Brother Branham makes reference to the "Sign in the moon" coinciding with the visit of Pope Paul the sixth visiting Palestine. Here is the direct quote from the book...

Matthew 24, mentions signs in the heavens concerning this last day just before Jesus comes. I wonder if you noticed such a sign recently fulfilled as to portray the very truth we have been discussing. That truth is that Jesus has been steadily pushed aside until in the last age He is pushed outside the church. Recall that in the first age it was almost a full orbed church of truth. Yet there was a little error called the deeds of the Nicolaitanes that kept the circle from being full (referring to the above drawing). Then in the next age more darkness crept in until the ball of light glowed less, and darkness covered more of the circle. In the third age it was eclipsed still more, and in the fourth age which was the Dark Ages, the light had all but gone.

Now think on this. The church shines in the reflected light of Christ. He is the SUN. The church is the MOON. Thus this orb of light is the moon. It had decreased from almost a full moon in the first age, to a sliver in the fourth age. But in the fifth age it began to grow. In the sixth it took a great step of growth forward. In part of the seventh age it was still growing, when suddenly it stopped short, and waned to almost a nothingness, so that instead of light it was the blackness of apostasy, and at the end of the age it had ceased to shine for darkness had taken over. Christ was now outside the church. Here is the sign in the sky.

The last eclipse of the moon was a total eclipse. It waned to a total darkness in seven stages. In the seventh stage, the total darkness came as the Pope of Rome (Paul the Sixth) went to Palestine to make a holy tour of Jerusalem. He was the first pope to ever go to Jerusalem.

The pope is named Paul the Sixth. Paul was the first messenger and this man goes by that name. Notice it is the sixth, or the number of man. This is more than a coincidence. And when he went to Jerusalem, the moon or the church went into total darkness. This is it. This is the end. This generation shall not pass away until all be fulfilled. Even so Lord Jesus, come quickly!

At the time Brother Branham's physical body was hanging between life and death in a Texas hospital, God gave another "Sign in the moon". A Brother Pearry Green, Pastor of Tucson Tabernacle, was on his way to the hospital, in a small chartered plane. It was night and a beautiful full moon highlighted the darkness. Then, to both the pilot and Brother Green's astonishment they saw what looked like a red tear-drop of blood hanging from the lower part of the moon.

When Brother Green arrived at the Intensive Care unit of the Hospital, he stood by Brother Branham's bedside, not knowing whether the Prophet was conscious of his presence or not. He began to softly hum the song "On The Wings Of A Dove". Brother Branham opened his eyes, indicating that he was conscious of sound and his surroundings.

Brother Green then proceeded to tell Brother Branham about the "sign" he saw in the moon. The Prophet's re-action surprised our Brother. Brother Branham re-acted quickly, raising on one elbow and screaming words which were not discernable because of the tracheotomy tube in his throat. He fell back on the bed without further response. Without a doubt, William Branham knew the significance of the "sign in the moon". The dispensation of Grace was fading out and the "Day of vengeance of our God" was being ushered in. A climax had been reached.

As a result of this climax the witnesses of what God had done in this Age in the ministry of William Branham began moving in two different directions - one group is found to be following the Evening Light Message moving on out into the Revelation of Christ's 2nd. Coming, the Rapture and the Resurrection; the other group, are found following the theology of charismatic man-made religion and church councils, moving right on into "total" spiritual darkness and the "Great Tribulation". Which group are you identified with? God has thoroughly identified and vindicated what He HAS DONE and IS DOING in and through the ministry of Malachi 4:5-6. To dis-believe now would be sin.
